Epaulette shoulder emblems are manufactured with polyester embroidery threads and sometimes with bullion hand-stitching techniques on base materials of twills or shirting fabrics. These “emblems” are usually worn to promote a corporate image or signify a level of career service or rank. Prior to finishing, the embroidered material is folded and stitched to create a “slip-on bar” that can be attached to a uniform using a buttoned epaulette tab or a clutch-pin.
