Emblemtek Solutions Group

Product Packaging Standards

Emblems, crests, badges, patches and blanks are usually assembled in bundles of 25, 50 or 100 units, depending on size and order quantity, and are generally packaged in clear polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bags.  We attempt to use the least number of bags necessary, to reduce waste and to keep in line with our environmental policies.  We encourage the reuse of bags and bundling elastics where ever possible.

When shipping, Emblemtek will attempt to use courier supplied envelopes, packs or boxes where ever possible in order to reduce cost burdens.  Relative to order quantity, we will also use blank shipping cartons.  All packaging items are usually void of Emblemtek branding, allowing customers to reuse and redistribute those items.  In all cases, we strongly encourage reuse and recycling of all packaging materials where ever possible.

Shipping by FedEx

Emblemtek’s primary courier provider is Federal Express (FedEx), using FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® services, available across Canada, into the United States and internationally.  Unless otherwise directed, we will attempt to use the quickest service alternatives available by destination.  Heavier and/or less critical shipments may be sent via FedEx Ground® if so desired. Saturday delivery services are also available to specific destinations, as required.   Shipments are sent prepaid on Emblemtek’s account, and shipment, insurance, extended area, fuel surcharge and customs fess are billed with the products.  Customers may also request to have all shipping and customs related fees billed to their FedEx account (Bill Receiver), and in these instances, no shipping charges will appear on those order invoices. Emblemtek will not be responsible delays of any kind.  Please visit the FedEx web site (www.fedex.ca) for service standards and policies.

Shipping by Canada Post

Customers may opt to have shipments sent via Canada Post, using Lettermail™, Regular Parcel™, Expedited Parcel™, Xpresspost™ or Priority™ services, available across Canada, into the United States and internationally.  Unless otherwise directed, we will attempt to use the least expensive service alternative, relative to product format, weight, package dimensions and destination.  Some of the services that Canada Post offers are similarly priced to those of FedEx, and in some cases Canada Post may not be the least expensive or timely option.  Postage, insurance, signature and handling fees will be billed with the products.  Emblemtek will not be responsible for any direct or indirect service fees, service delays, losses or damages of any kind, for shipments sent via Canada Post.  Please visit the Canada Post web site (www.canadapost.ca) for service standards and policies.

Shipping by Courier

Customers may wish to have shipments sent via methods other than FedEx or Canada Post.  Emblemtek can make shipping arrangements using United Parcel Service (UPS) or Purolator Courier (Purolator), however we strongly recommend using FedEx to better streamline shipments within the bulk of Emblemtek’s daily shipping processes.  If choosing UPS or Purolator, we will require a valid account number for Bill Receiver or Third-Party billing.  Shipping fees will not appear on order invoices relating to these shipments, however a $5.00 handling fee will be applied.  This fee helps to cover the costs associated with maintaining shipping supplies and online shipping profiles for UPS and Purolator.  Emblemtek will prepare shipments accordingly, and we will make all pick-up arrangements.  Please note that UPS and Purolator may not be able to pick-up shipments after certain cut-off times, and these on-call service standards may cause a delay of one business day.  Emblemtek will not be responsible for any direct or indirect service fees, service delays, losses or damages of any kind, for shipments sent via UPS or Purolator.  Due to less than acceptable service experiences in the past, Emblemtek will not process shipments by DHL, Dicom Express or CanPar.

Shipping by Transport

Large, heavy weight shipments on pallets or in large boxes, containers or crates will be shipped via FedEx Freight.  FedEx Freight provides less-than-load (LTL) transportation shipping across Canada.  Preparation of shipments and transportation bookings are made after orders are completed and assembled.  FedEx Freight will pickup these shipments at a set time of day, therefore some shipments may be delayed by a day in relation to the time of final assembly.  Transit times for these shipments depend heavily on transport traffic, volumes and final destination.  Emblemtek will not be responsible delays of any kind.  On occasion, transportation and insurance fees may be billed separately after the products have been invoiced. Please visit the FedEx Freight web site (www.fedex.com/ca_english/fedexfreight/main) for service standards and policies.

Drop-Shipments & Customer Goods

With advance notice, Customers can arrange to have orders sent to other locations, in full or in part, as a drop-shipment.  When these needs arise, we will require the details of the items to be drop-shipped (item, quantity…), the full address of the destination location(s) and related telephone numbers. From time to time, customers may have goods, such as uniforms and sportswear for design embellishment or emblem application, sent directly to us as a drop-shipment from their distribution centers or suppliers.  In such cases, our Customer Service Group should be notified of the inbound shipment and the related requirements (purchase order number, sizes, quantities, application instructions…).  Emblemtek will not be responsible for lost or damaged goods that are in transit to our facilities, whether or not we were given prior notice.
